Formulated with 25 billion CFU live lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and Sunfiber (Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum), FloraGG helps maintain intestinal regularity and digestive health without the excess gas, bloating and loose stools.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (FloraGG) is one of the most extensively studied and widely used probiotic strains. Also naturally present in our own intestines, its excellent adhesion to the intestinal lining allows this probiotic strain effectively restores the natural gut flora balance, supports optimal gut health and strengthens the immune system.

This well researched probiotic strain helps improve the body's own gut flora through the following three mechanisms.

1. Adhesion

For a probiotic to effect benefits in the body, it has to be able to adhere well to the intestinal walls. This is crucial for it to help modulate the body’s natural immune response. As compared to other Lactobacillus strains, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (FloraGG) is better able to adhere to the intestinal walls.

2. Protect

In the body, the intestinal epithelium prevents harmful organisms from entering the body and facilitates the absorption of essential nutrients into the bloodstream. Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (FloraGG) helps keep the epithelial lining intact and enhances its barrier function by supporting a healthy inflammatory response and enhancing the regeneration of the intestinal mucosa. Collectively, the intestinal epithelium becomes stronger to defend against foreign ‘invaders’.

3. Cleanse

Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (FloraGG) producing more lactic acid which lowers the pH in the gut and reduces the adhesion to the intestinal mucus.

Most oral probiotics are prone to destruction by gastric acid and bile as they journey down the digestive tract, even before their beneficial activities can take effect. Although live cultures are typically coated by a capsule, they are still not protected against ambient humidity, warm temperatures or gastric acid and so cannot survive for long.

Unlike regular uncoated probiotics which are prone to destruction, FloraGG is embedded in the core, surrounded by robust acid-resistant, bile-resistant, antioxidant, nutrient-rich and colonization layers. These provide a physical barrier to protect the probiotics against harsh conditions of the body, stress and humidity, thereby increasing the rate of intestinal colonization and keeping the intestinal lining healthy.
